PART I - INTRODUCTION ZEYAD ELSHIKH

Hello, my name is Zeyad Elshikh. I was born in Egypt and came to America for my education, where my journey in graphic design truly began. My first experience with design started on my first MacBook, using Pixlr.com to edit photos and piece together logos. At the time, I didn’t fully understand design principles, I was simply experimenting, assembling logos, and adding text. But that curiosity kept growing.

In high school, I had the opportunity to take my first official graphic design class, and I absolutely loved it. One of my first major projects was designing a logo for a fictional flight brand. I completely winged it, literally and figuratively. That moment made me realize that I wanted to pursue design seriously, and I knew college was the next step.

When I started my first year at NJCU, my design skills were still developing. I was just beginning to understand the fundamentals. But everything changed in my sophomore year when I met Professor Quinn, that’s when my growth as a designer truly took off. With the right guidance, practice, and passion, I began refining my style and pushing my creative limits.

Below are some of the works I’ve created, each reflecting my journey, my influences, and my dedication to the craft.

My redesign on a Fanta bottle. Very proud of it.

This is TitanGloss my imaginary car detailing brand. Very proud of the outcome

My first, proud of, photoshop edit - the original photo was taken by me in Egypt. "In life there are bad days and better days"
