Hi! My name is Luis Martinez also go by the artist name “huicho” currently a senior at NJCU majoring in BFA painting and drawing! I’m a Chicano tattoo artist based out of Union city, I’ve been in the industry for nearly 4 years now specializing in black and grey realism/ illustrative tattoos and some color. As for goals in the industry I want to been known for specializing black and grey illustrative/ realism and Neo traditional a prominent style in the tattoo world blending 2 and 3 dimensional elements in an illustrative ways. Neo traditional depicts many figures also similar to renaissance art with a blend of traditional tattoo elements to last the test of time as a tattoo. In hopes of dominating these two styles I also plan to win many awards and travel around the world to guest spots in many shops learn from other grand masters in the industry who have been tattooing for 20 plus years. Last to hopefully own my own tattoo shop, hear are some of my current work with only 3 and a half years of experience!
I look up to many artist in different professions like academic artist during the renaissance and Braque period, also Chicano artist working in lowrider / Chicano art representing street/ gang art. To graffiti artist and tattoo artist.

On Photography
QUOTE 1/2: Photographs, which fiddle with the scale of the world, themselves get reduced, blown up, cropped, retouched, doctored, tricked out. They age, plagued by the usual ills of paper objects; they disappear; they become valuable, and get bought and sold; they are reproduced. Photographs, which package the world, seem to invite packaging. They are stuck in albums, framed and set on tables, tacked on walls, projected as slides. Newspapers and magazines feature them; cops alphabetize them; museums exhibit them; publishers compile them.
COMMENT: I chose this quote as I feel it really summarizes what photography really is and the many form it can transform and be use to express an emotion, idea or just express one’s own identity with just a snap of a single second.
have you looked into Virgil Abloh's practice at all?
