Hello everyone, I'm Cierrah but you can call me CECI if you like. I'm currently at my fourth year at NJCU and I am an art illustration major whose dream is to became an animator. I'm currently doing freelance and slowly dipping my toes in the art professional world. To describe my style, I'm inspired by numerous types of of artists and animators. My all time favorite animators is Takeshi Koike who was the director of the movie Redline. And my favorite animation studio is Fortiche which is a French animation studio who made Arcane. My favorite illustrator is Takeshi Okazaki who made Afro Samurai.
My style is currently inconsistent and I'm still trying to find myself through my artwork. The problem I stumbled across is that I'm very indecisive and of what I want my work to look like. My work tends to be sketchy artwork due to my indecisiveness. However, I mostly do traditional work and started to dive into digital last semester. So far my favorite program to use to draw is Photoshop. I'm hoping for my BFA I get to make a animation tag along with scenery drawing and comic panels.
Art works:
“Even when photographers are most concerned with mirroring reality, they are still haunted by tacit imperatives of taste and conscience.”
-As an artist, I try to bend the laws of reality in my work, however I'm concerned about people interpretation of my work and not look at it in a fictitious lighting. And it's a nagging voice in the back of my head about it.
"The picture may distort; but there is always a presumption that something exists, or did exist, which is like what's in the picture."
- Throughout history numerous paintings and artwork has been misinterpreted and had formed a new meaning.
