The main focus of my work is to show how human emotion and motion can be art in itself within sports, almost like dance choreography. Want others who don't normally watch sports to feel both the action and the emotion of the subject while just looking at a picture. I feel as though even when someone watches a game on tv, they are prone to looking or focusing at the emotion or the hard work it goes into to pull off certain plays. They make it look easy, my job is to freeze those moments on the side lines, make you really invested in the play. I want to fill in the disconnect between the fan and the player. I want my audience to feel as though they can put themselves in the shoes of those players and by doing some closeup shots of the plays or emotion, it sets the tone. On TV people are prone to that, they see another point or another hat trick. I look for the authentic moment, not just for the action shots. I will take both, but I only gravitate to the authentic shot. I hope that my work will be appealing to everyone who enjoys emotion and story in art, not just sports fans.
