The art movement that most closely resonates with my work is surrealism. Surrealism was an artistic movement in the 1920s that explored topics like unconsciousness, dreams, the strange, and the irrational through unconventional imagery. The reason I feel that this work resonates with me is that the dream-like, ephemeral nature of the majority of the works in this movement evokes sensations that challenge your perception of reality, causing one to contemplate their circumstances and place in the world.
