Post 3 - Creating Meaning: Corine Etienne

Le’Andra LeSeur by Ksenia M. Soboleva
Poetic and artistic meditations where Black, queer joy and grief coexist.

Le'Andra LeSeur draws inspiration from issues like as identity, perseverance, and the intersection of Blackness, queerness, and spirituality. Her work frequently combines audio, visual, and performance art to create intensely personal and community experiences. She employs repetition, light, and dance to investigate healing, sorrow, and transformation, highlighting the importance of reclaiming one's narrative.

In contrast, my ambition to create meaning whether through narrative, problem solving, or artistic expression is driven by a desire to connect, clarify, and expand knowledge. Like LeSeur, I want to create immersive and thought-provoking experiences, however my medium differs.

The selection of material, process, and aesthetic reinforces the message by influencing how the audience interacts with and understands the piece. LeSeur believes that light and sound inspire emotion and ritual, allowing for reflection and relief. For me, clear communication, and interactive involvement ensure that ideas are both accessible and effective.
