My most recent work is focused on self acceptance and figuring out self identity. My work is me representing my mind, my thoughts, and my interests. I tend to use more vibrant colors to draw people in yet also contrast that with black and white which representative to myself.
When I was younger a lot of the things I liked caused me to be bullied but nowadays it's more accepted. The work I make is suitable to people who relate to me and are also interested in the same things. I sometimes like to bring people back to their childhood with some pieces because I feel it's important to never let that side of you go. The world is filled with negativity and I want my work to show positivity and light.
I hope that when people look at my work they get taken back to a time in their life that they felt happy or to a moment when they were a child. I'd love for people to start loving themselves and begin being their most authentic self instead of conforming just because it's what they've been told to do. Do what makes you happy and express yourself the way you want to.
This piece is titled "nostalgia" I was able to bring some people back to the time of when this show was popular. I was told by many people that this reminded them of their childhood at least a happier part of it and I absolutely loved that I was able to do that.
This piece is called "oh. my. ra!" cleo de nile from monster high the series I made for this healed my inner child of having to give up my dolls because I was "too old" for them. The reaction I got from it again bringing someone back to a younger version of themselves and feeling comfortable to talk about the topic without fear of being judged was amazing.
"Amarath merino zinthos" my version of raven from teen titans which was a show I grew up watching and she was a character I related to heavily and I loved how she was able to be accepted by her friends although she was a little different.
"cut from the same cloth" is a piece where I finally accepted that this is how I view myself and I feel as though I can finally be my true authentic self and share that with the world around me.
"When two worlds collide" this piece is representative of me finally allowing for both versions of myself to exist in harmony.
"Love for (via)nel" this is another self acceptance piece.
"inner soul" is based on yin and yang with the sun and moon from soul eater an anime I grew up on and is a comfort anime.
