The message behind my work:-Rachel Alfonso

Themes of identity, connection, and the function of design and art in storytelling are all explored in my work. I investigate how visual presentation affects perception and how art may elicit human expression and reminiscence through a combination of branding, paintings, and charcoal drawings. The branding elements highlight the power of purposeful design in marketing and sustainability and demonstrate how powerful visual identities shape customer choices by establishing connections with thoughtfulness, quality, and authenticity. The artworks highlight the value of friendships, cultural identity, and shared events, especially the charcoal drawing of pals. The emotional importance of art in preserving memories and capturing real human experiences is brought home by this work. A distinct facet of the human experience is communicated by each work of art; for example, branding shapes consumer perception, still life painting unites classical and modern artistic traditions, and portraiture honors representation and narrative, creating feelings of coziness and nostalgia. While the still life painting should inspire contemplation and a respect for artistry, I want my audience to be pulled to the branding work and associate it with expertise and involvement. In order to remind viewers of their own treasured connections, the charcoal sketch should evoke feelings of coziness, nostalgia, and connection. The still life painting will be regarded as technically and historically significant, the branding work as effective and clean, and the charcoal portrait as incredibly relatable, illustrating universal themes of joy and friendship. All things considered, my work showcases the effects of design in marketing and business, adds to the larger discussion of art as storytelling and cultural preservation, and encapsulates the unadulterated genuineness of human interactions and shared experiences. The charcoal portrait preserves real-life connections in an emotionally compelling manner, the still-life painting ties past and present creative traditions together, and the package designs create a strong brand identity. I want to demonstrate how both design and art influence how we perceive the world by bridging history, craftsmanship, and contemporary creative settings with this piece.
