Artist Statement
Angelica creates because she’s passionate about the connection between design and perception. As a graphic designer, her work is rooted in understanding how visual language shapes the way people think, feel, and engage. Whether she’s designing packaging, building a brand identity, or experimenting with layout, Angelica approaches every project with one question in mind: "How will this be perceived?"
Her design practice is centered on clarity, balance, and intentionality. Working primarily in digital media, using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and sketching to build out ideas. Angelica gravitates toward minimalist design principles. Organic shapes, playful colors, and strong typography are common threads in her work, but she’s most drawn to the spaces in between: negative space, visual pacing, and the moments where a design has room to breathe. She believes good design doesn’t shout...it invites. Her design decisions are fueled by curiosity and the excitement of influencing perception. Why does one water bottle feel more premium than another? Why does one logo catch your eye while others fade into the background? It’s these questions that keep her work rooted in function and purpose, without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.
Ultimately, Angelica aims to create designs that are clean, engaging, and strategically built to resonate. Her work doesn’t just exist to look good, it’s built to communicate. She hopes that viewers and users of her work feel a sense of clarity, ease, and intentionality, and that they leave with a stronger impression of what a brand, product, or message stands for.
For Angelica, design is more than decoration. It’s perception made visible.
