Artist Statement_Olga Doutkevitch
I make ceramic objects. They are usable Decorative objects. They mean to be a part of people’s lives: to use them in your everyday life, and touch them
I was asked what does my
painting have to do with ceramics? I was surprised by such question, it sounded like "what paper and watercolors have to do with painting?" -- to me ceramic is a
canvas for drawings and paintings.
My artwork become a source
of/for the peace in a person's house
