What inspired LeSeur?
Le’Andra LeSeur’s work is deeply influenced by her experiences as a Black queer woman, and she often explores themes of identity, resilience, and societal challenges. Her inspiration comes from her desire to create spaces for healing, reflection, and transformation. Through her use of various media, LeSeur addresses both personal and collective struggles, connecting her work to larger social issues and the emotional experiences of those around her.

As a graphic designer, I also strive to create work that connects with people on a deeper level. While LeSeur draws on her identity and social justice themes, my motivation comes from a desire to create visually impactful designs that communicate universal human experiences. Like LeSeur, I want my designs to have meaning beyond aesthetics, with the goal of fostering connection and understanding. Choice of Material, Process, Aesthetic, and Content:
I choose materials and processes that allow me to experiment and expand my creative vision. For example, using 3D modeling in my projects adds dimension and a tactile quality to my work, helping to convey both playfulness and eerie undertones. My process often involves learning new tools, like Blender, which enables me to create highly detailed designs and characters that feel unique and engaging. Aesthetically, I like to combine bold, modern visuals with elements of horror and playfulness—his mix communicates my theme of finding beauty in contrasts.
Content-wise, I often focus on nostalgia, consumerism, and emotional attachment to objects, which I explore through both my branding and individual designs. This helps reinforce my message that things—whether they’re figurines—can hold meaning beyond their surface. Every choice I make, from the way I model a character to how I layout a poster, is intentional and reinforces the deeper messages I want to convey to the audience.
