Hello welcome back to the blog. I will talk about Le’Andra LeSeur and myself.
A multi media artist who was asked questions. I will go over what inspires her and, as usual make it about myself cause why not. I'm an artist I have to. This is all based the article made by Bomb magazine.
There is the question on what inspires her. When it comes to certain works she gives answers for it. Like the blue hue painting. It's a great looking painting. I am a big blue lover myself I'm not gonna lie on that. Her answer for it is and I quote "My hope has always been to use light as an entry point into a space and by extension into my work. I use color as an invite and then leave the decision to the viewer if they will actually stay and be with the content or if they’ll avoid interacting." That is just with one work. She also does poems and says as long as I continue coming back to the body as the source, the way I can create almost fells limitless. Language is something we ingest. These a great answers. The best answer to say really is it varies from piece to piece. As some people may have something they used like trauma or regret for one piece and maybe something completely different like Birds for another.
Compare that to me. I'm pretty basic to be fair. I make my work to do it. It sounds weird but I just make it. If work is needed or if I feel like it ill make it. Do I have an idea in mind yes. But sometimes I just let my hand flow. I use Acrylic, Illustrator, Gouache, regular pen/pencil and paper, and even writing. It comes in waves and I do it accordingly. Sometimes it can be music that gets me in the mood or even just like ahhhh I need to do something.
Thank you for reading. God bless you and have and amazing day.
